No, Munchkin doesn't watch T.V.

I've always prided myself on raising a television-free child. My opinion of the television is that it is a mind numbing bad habit. I have developed this opinion by observing my own couch-potato behavior. One needn't be introduced to such habits at this young, innocent age. The longer I can prevent Munchkin from realizing that the T.V. exists the better chance he stands at living a healthy, active life.

He's caught glimpses of educational DVD's in the past, but hasn't ever shown an attention span that lasts longer than one minute. He prefers to be playing outside or in his toy room.

It turns out that he just didn't have a comfortable place of his own to enjoy such entertainment. When he saw that his car seat had been placed in the living room, he thought that life as he knows it had just been drastically improved. It was as though I had told him that money does grow on trees, or that he can have cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

He immediately found a comfortable spot in front of the television and didn't move for a whole five minutes.

Note to self: Get the car seat out of the living room or else your child doesn't stand a chance at ever seeing the outdoors or the toy room ever again.

Football is pretty mind numbing for a 1 year old!
Put on a Baby Einstein video! Now that's something he'll understand! :)

There are some very educational shows for kids now... Blues Clues, The Backyardigans and Little Einsteins are our favorites. Because of Little Einsteins, our kids LOVE classical music. Plus it's made by the same people that made Baby Einsteins..... Check 'em out!
