It is a sad day when one must say good bye to a long time friend. Roger was a part of our family since I was a child. He was our families first kitten, given to my younger sister Emily in 1988.
Roger lived a life of excellent personal hygiene, demonstrated by meticulous grooming on a daily basis for most of his life.
He had much love to give, although none to snippity dogs or grabby children. Roger was a wonderful big-brother to beautimous, spending many hours each day snuggling and sharing warmth (as shown in the picture).
Roger loved being scratched under the chin, warm laps to sit on and sleeping directly on top of my mom.
He will be missed dearly!

Thanks, Taylor. You caught it perfectly when you said that Roger didn't care for troublesome dogs and grabby kids. My personal favorite memory is of Roger riding around the house on my shoulders. I will always feel his little rear end on my right shoulder and his head peeking over my left. He was the Geo Aposhian of cats and leaves an empty spot in our family. He now rests next to Ollie (which would probably annoy them both).
Sorry for the loss of this beautiful friend of yours...
19 years is a great life for a cat! He's lucky to have had such a wonderful family! :)

This is so sad. Our kitty is very very sick right now and it has us very worried. He's not eating, drinking, he's very lethargic and throwing up, etc... I think we'll be taking him into the vet tonight. Poor thing. :(
