Cousins

Munchkin and Markie are so cute together. After posing for the camera they ran laps through the house saying "I love you" and "I love you, too" to one another.

Pre-School

Munchkin was so excited to start pre-school. He was motivated to buckle down and start using the potty 100% of the time because he knew that this was something required of him to begin pre-school. He has been consistent with his use of the potty so after about a month of no accidents, day or night, we enrolled him in a highly recommended pre-school program.
On his first day his spirits were high and Dada was able to drop him off without any tears or hesitation on Munchkins part. I really wasn't sure how he would react to being left alone with other children and teachers, but he surprised me delightfully.
Dada went to pick up Munchkin after his school session. The teacher said that he had done a great job until the last couple of minutes when he was waiting for Dada to pick him up and became anxious and sad.
That night while sleeping he wet the bed. The next day he had two accidents in his pants, both of which were caught by Munchkin and stopped immediately. I know that these accidents were completely subconcious. None the less, the fact that this change was causing stress worthy of potty-training remission disturbed us all... Munchkin included.
The next day while heading back to pre-school Munckin displayed such sorrow over returning, crying that he didn't want to go. Dada later told me that he sincerely hoped this behavior would resolve itself quickly, otherwise he might die of a broken heart. My sentiment exactly.
Finally after a long day of anticipating what might be happening to Munchkin at pre-school it was time to pick him up. Dada said that Munchkin came out with happiness in his eyes. Munckin claims that he "be'd happy" all day. This was like music to our ears, beautiful, appreciated music. He had only one accident later that day and that completed his potty-training remission. He has been consistent with the potty ever since then. Dada claims that we have crossed a hurdle and that everything will be all right from here on out. The true test will be how he responds to the drop-off next week. Here's hoping for the best. I was surprised at how distraught and stressed I felt all day knowing that he was in such protest when Dada took him to school. It is really emotional to see your child so greatly impacted by an event. I truly hope that we have nothing but rainbows and sunshine from here on out.

Mannerisms

While playing outside in the snow on a cold afternoon this conversation took place:

Grandpa: "What would you like to drink"?
Munchkin: "Coffee, in my sippy"
Grandpa: After a moment of hesitation "OK"
Munchkin: "I love you".

What three year-old requests coffee? He is very mature for his age.
Although his request was strange, Grandpa just can't say no to the boy. Our cooperation is often rewarded with affection that makes it all worth while.

Happy Halloween

Munchkin knew months in advance that he would be a skeleton-pirate for Halloween this year. His girlfriend, Amanda, brought him a special pirate telescope all the way from Universal Studios in Florida to supplement his costume. Thanks Girlfriend!

Play time with Grandpa before heading out for a night of trick-or-treating

Markie was a clone-trooper and Emily was a medieval princess.
