During the week leading up to Munchkin's birthday, we started celebrating like everyday is special. On Sunday we enjoyed a fun filled afternoon in Heber Valley, riding Thomas the Train!

Back for Another Season
This season will be better than any we have ever experienced at the cabin before. For now we come armed with a fully loaded childs' swing. The smile on his face proves that the Munchkin loves it. Munchkin was soaring into the trees, trying to kick the branches as each sway would take him higher and higher. We are so happy to be back at the cabin!

Splish, Splash
Munchkin found great delight in splashing his Grandma and Grandpa. If only these pictures would allow you to hear his high-pitch squeels, then you would fully understand the happiness that occured today.

Hill Climb
Each morning Munchkin and I go on a walk. These aren't leisurly "take your time and enjoy yourself" walks, these are "kick your own ass" walks. This morning we did what I like to call the "hill-climb". I walked as far east as I could before reaching the easten most portion of I-215. This is the picture that I took once we reached our highest point.

The Beginning
This week marks the beginning of a wonderful summer. I have completed the first year in the Dental Hygiene program at SLCC and have until mid-August when I return to class. I couldn't ask for a better day than today to kick off the new season. The temprature was perfect, the sky was clear and my little Munchkin was as cute as ever.

My Spiky Grass Garden
My spiky-grass garden is looking quite exquisite. The grasses are beginning to show their feather-brush extensions and the day lillies are blooming. We have added two Japanese Maples and they seem to be doing well in their new location.

Mom's Garden
The iris' are in full bloom. They add a brilliant splash of color to the back yard which I have been enjoying all evening. The petals catch the setting sun light in the most beautiful way.
