Happy 7th Birthday, Ryan!

Ryan's birthday was on the last day of school. Dada took a new bicycle, decorated with balloons, to greet him as he exited school for summer vacation. It was a spectacular moment. He was very happy.

The Easter Bunny hid eggs and baskets outside in trees, rocks and fences. It was the most fun Easter!

Margaret Bird Dog "Maggie"

This is Maggie. She is a two year old German Short Hair. Her previous owners were unable to keep her and we had an available dog bed. She spends her days establishing dominance over Leo, making sure that he knows she is the alpha. She is super submissive to the kids and they both love her. She has a level of energy that I have never seen on a dog. She is a total nut!

Happy Birthday, Sarah Quinn. 3

Sarah turned three years old this February 14th. For her party we had all the cousins and friends join us at the pool for swimming and cake. It was a great time and all the kids really seemed to have fun.

The kids started shuffling after they ate cake. Ryan is very good at shuffling!

Sarah received some really wonderful presents. I haven't been able to get her out of this blue fairy dress since she opened it.

On the evening of her birthday we enjoyed a quiet night at home. We had a special cake for her and a few more presents.


Sarah, you are such a sweet girl. We are so proud of you and all that you do. You are a good, smart, beautiful, fast, amazing girl and your family cherishes you! Happy Birthday!

Lola Bean: Sept. 17, 2003 - Feb. 13, 2012

I am completely shattered to announce the passing of our dear Lola. She was such an important part of our family and she will surely leave an open wound. Lola, your wonderful spirit and limitless ability to chase balls will never be forgotten. We love you so much and will miss you more than words can express.

Pinewood Derby

Ryan and Dada have been working very hard on building a Pinewood Derby car for the scouts race. There were 40 cars competing. The race was held on a long ramp that extended across the gymnasium floor. Each car raced a number of times against the other cars until it was determined which cars were eligible to compete in the finals. Ryan had won first place in all of his preliminary runs. In the finals he came in second place during one run. He came home with the trophy for 2nd place and a blue ribbon for participation. It was truly exciting. We are all so proud of the hard work and good results experienced in the Pinewood Derby.

Christmas Day, 2011

Our Christmas couldn't have been better. The children were so happy to see the beautiful display on Christmas morning. Just seeing how happy they were on Christmas was the greatest feeling. The day was full of fun, presents, family and love, love, love. We even had Mikelle here which was super.
